UPDATE: the announced anonymization of forum accounts of inactive users has been temporarily deferred. So the originally announced June 15th deadline is no longer in effect. However, anyone who hasn't logged into their account for the last 24 months should still make sure to do so ASAP in order to avoid account deletion and anonymization.
ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Starting June 15th, Arduino will begin enforcement of section 8.3 of the user account terms and conditions:
8.3 Should the User be inactive for 24 months, Arduino shall be entitled to close the Account.
[...]
8.5 In the event of cancellation or closure whatsoever of the Account, all data related to the Account will be deleted and comments and posts in Forum, if any, will be anonymized by deleting all personal data that could identify the relevant User.
An email with subject "Your Arduino Account Deletion Reminder" was sent to all inactive accounts.
If you have logged into your Arduino account within the last 24 months, and continue to log in at least once every 24 months from now onward, your account will not be subject to deletion and no additional action is required.
If you have not logged in to your account in the last 24 months and wish to preserve the account and avoid the loss of Arduino Cloud data and anonymization of forum posts and Arduino Project Hub projects, please log in to your arduino.cc account before 2024-06-15.
The sole purpose of this forum topic is to increase awareness of the upcoming action. A separate topic on the subject has already been established so, in order to avoid creating parallel discussions in multiple topics, please post in the other topic if you have any questions, concerns, or want to discuss the subject:
