Industrial joystick

Hi all,

I'm looking for a single axis joystick, and industrial type one.

They are all rated for high voltage and current, such as this one: http://uk.farnell.com/apem/100113/joystick-microswitch-5a-250v-solder/dp/9895744

Are they fine to work at the 5v low current of the Arduino, and 600V is just the maximum, but there is no minimum? not sure how it works.

I guess you missed this part of the description: " The Joystick is supplied with the industry standard V4 microswitches, configured with changeover contacts carrying a nominal 10A/250V AV rating.".

The minimum voltage is ZERO! they are switches.

If you want a cheap potentiometer joystick, I'd suggest look for secondhand game controllers to strip.

Hello,

This joystick had 4 switches ON / OFF / ON; made by APEM Firme. You can use OFF / ON of this switches by 0,03 A to coil of little relay 6V ONE RT

But, use the relays near Arduino board.

The wires will be shorts. fine.
