Industrial like I/O

Hi all,
I decided to make some industrial like I/O's that I could use for Arduino and other micro controllers, and I would like to share this with the world and hear your comments on the designs, maybe suggestions about improvements.

Today I just finished the DO circuit, it should be able to deliver more than 500ma which should be enough for most things and relays, and I also added a diode “D1” for protection when you drive relays.

Looking forward to reed your comments.

familiar with - http://www.ruggedcircuits.com/microcontroller-boards/ruggeduino - ?

Yes, but I am talking 24v DI, DO, 4-20ma Input and Output, PT100/PT1000 input, and maybe more.

Just finished drawing the DI circuit, low level should be 0-2V and high should minimum be 3-36V

I will not commet schematics (sure they will work nice -should they do not at the first trial, on the second)

Be aware of security concerns: Neither an ordinary arduino nor a rougher one are certified, so you have, at least, to surround it with additional hardware to prevent fails (maybe, even, it is not permitted at all to build any industrial apparatus around it -I'm not sure)

Regards

I like the idea of the 4-20mA input and output, this would be very useful.
As well as PT100 you might also consider K-Type thermocouples as they are widely used in industry.

Yes, you are right that is also part of the plan, just forgot that, i am soon ready to make the first PCB's for DI, DO, AI, and AO.
The last few days i have changed the designs some times, i have a program to simulate the circuits, so i found a few faults, but mostly i have played with the 4-20ma I/O's on getting them more precise, not caring if it is 5v or 3.3v, and opto isolated. I will upload the designs soon.

I am looking forward to seeing the designs and PCB, I might have a use for a 4-20mA input shield with 3 analogue inputs.

With usbeduino you can have input 5-24 vdc and outputs 5-24vdc 3 amps sinking currents.
No 4-20 ma sensing is provided only an extra variable analogue input...

If you like check it out on my new campaign on indiegogo...
