Hi, I recently created a code in arduine that I can use to load an IR HEX code on a certain button and then send it at any time. This program works for me on some devices but does not work on some. Here is the IR reception code:
if (irrecv.decode(&results) ) {
Skuska = String(results.value, HEX);
irrecv.resume(); // Receive the next value
}
And here it is to send the IR code:
IrSender.sendNECMSB(Skuska.toInt(), 32);
This code worked on my samsung tv but on Philips tv it didn't work. I was reading about some RAW code, but I don't understand it.
there are some more things to care about.
One of these things is the carrier-frequency that is used.
some IR-remotes use 32 kHz, 36 kHz, 38kHz, and 40 kHz.
if this matters depends on the receiving circuit that you are using.
Most likely it is a receiver that works on only one of these carrier-frequencies
You can read about this basics here
https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ir-communication/all
if the carrier-frequency of your phillips remotesender does not match the carrier-frequency of your receiver it does not work
So please post a datasheet of your ir-receiver or the circuit you are using.
Another reason might be that the library does not include the phillips protocol
RAW recording means the ON/off-timing is not analysed for a known protocol-pattern but simply recored "as is" and then replayed "as is".
For this more space for the data is needed.
best regards Stefan
When I load a code from a device that works, it always displays one IR code for example (0x80BF01FE) but from philips tv it shows me 2 codes for example (0xC) or (0x1000C).
