In the handbook associated with the Epalsite starter kit, "Lesson 18: Infrared Sender" involves using two Arduino UNOs to communicate via an infrared sender and an infrared receiver.
Rather than two Arduino UNOs, I used an UNO and a MKR WAN 1300.

Perhaps if you explained what was in the zip file when provided the link it would have been helpful
Having said that, many users are reluctant to download files of unknown origin. Posting the 2 sketches and the wiring diagram in a post here and a direct link to the starter kit handbook on a website would have been preferable
