Has anyone figured what the serial port on the EN4200 is yet? Is it TTL or is it something else?
Sorry if I am a little late to this thread. But I connected my EN4200 to a "prolific USB-to Serial" adapter, which is a TTL to serial converter NooElect PL2303, TX to RX and RX to TX connected with jumpers, then connected using LE PUTTY at 9600 N-8-1, now I get 16 bytes in my putty windows whenever an INOVONICS wireless door contact opens and closes. For example "76789390ECE6872573F9FFFF696925", always starting with 7678. Apparently Echostream is 16 bytes long, and is TTL level bytes.
Ok, correction to those who care. The EN4200 serial data interface is really RS232 not TTL. So, you can connect it directly to pins 2 and 3 of your RS232 port. Sorry guys.
