Inquiry with Regards to Control / Connection to Peristaltic Pump with Flex


I am new to this forum and was looking for some guidance with regards to controlling a peristaltic pump with Arduino.
I am hoping to use the RP-TX pump from Takasago (link: but have noticed that the connection to the motor is through a flex (not standard motor connections). I was wondering if anyone has experience with connecting to a pump motor similar to this and would be able to provide any tips, best-practices or safety provisions.

Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!

Have You looked at other pumps being more easy to connect with?

If it were me I would probably solder to the connector if I did not have the socket. Sockets are available and in the long run save you time and money. You can contact the manufacturer for the correct connector or socket.
