i've no idea what happened but suddenly my com6 is gone!.. everything was working fine until i must've unplugged my usb (which happened in the past and was fixed after reboot and/or moving to another usb) and arduino could no longer find it... i've done everything i could think of/find online - numerous usb cords, different usb ports, disabling other ports, uninstalling/reinstalling ide and drivers... nothing!.. and there's no com6 in my device manager no matter what... it just isn't there to select... i'm really at a loss... if someone can suggest anything i've overlooked, please do!.. win7... thanks.
update - tried to on a different laptop and com6/uno isn't showing either... would this happen if the board was fried or something?.. i'm at the end of my rope...
