I do not get that message, only the one about the memory sizes.The LaserGrbl version is (LaserGrbl v3.0.17 for Smoothie)

Smoothie is something different altogether but the version matches so not sure what it is there.

You should not be getting a memory size error in lasergrbl.
I certainly don't see one with either a clone or original Arduino UNO.
The only time you will see that is when UPLOADING via the IDE and we are past that stage.

Maybe it is time for some decent pics of your Arduino so I know exactly what you have.
