Install 1.0.5 on Ubuntu 12.10

Thanks Tim,

Is there any way I can install 1.0.5 over the top of 1.0.1, as though it had been installed with Ubuntu S/W centre?

Is there any channel for us to request Canonical to upgrade their repositories?
