installation trouble with Arduino 101 driver on Windows 7

Windows 7 > Device manager > Other devices: show two instances of ARDUINO 101 with yellow ! badge The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

But Arduino IDE 1.8.2 Tools > Board list does not show Arduino 101 (only Arduino Industrial 101) Tools > Board > Board Manager > Intel Curie Boards 2.0.2 is INSTALLED.

I bought the Arduino 101 in mid-2016.

Can't find anywhere how to install ARDUINO 101 driver for Windows 7.

Why does it show 2 instances?

I've reset system and re-installed Arduino IDE.

Have plugged 12v into Arduino 101

Is the board package installed (not drivers) in the IDE ?

Will ask this be moved to the 101 section where you might see some more helpful info.

This has nothing to do with your driver issue, it's a separate issue. Arduino Industrial 101 is a completely different board. It is part of the Arduino AVR Boards package, not Intel Curie Boards. Tools > Board should show the option Arduino/Geniuno 101. If it doesn't then you probably don't have Intel Curie Boards installed.
