Hi @micmal77. Arduino IDE 2.x is documented as having a minimum requirement of Windows 10. There is some mixed reports of whether it's possible to use in this forum thread:
Even though we don't support using Arduino IDE 2.x on Windows 7, I am interested to learn more about the subject. Please post a screenshot of the installer window with the disabled button so I can understand the problem better. You can do that by following these instructions:
- Open the installer window.
- Press the keyboard shortcut Alt
+ Print
Screen to copy a screenshot to the clipboard. - Open a forum reply here by clicking the Reply button.
- Press Ctrl+V. This will paste the screenshot into the reply.
- Wait for the screenshot to finish uploading. I think the forum software will require you to write a few words of explanation to consider it a valid reply.
- Click the Reply button to post the screenshot.
