Installing ESP8266 packet in the boards manager doesnt work cuz of firm laptop

Hey,

I am doing a project for my work and use a esp8266 board for that. I wanted to do smth in arduion ide. Then I tried to install the packet for the esp8266 in the boards manager, but it didnt work. I tried many things to install it, but always the error "can not download ....". I guess its because of the firewall of my work. I cant configure anything at the firewall, so my question is whether there is a possibility to download the program with esp8266 packet already installed.
Thank you for help.

If your company expects you to use an ESP8266 in the Arduino environment then surely they must provide you with the means to access the required resources

What does your manager say about it when you report the problem ?

But is it possible that I download a folder with the IDE installed and the ESP8266 packet also installed? If not I would ask my company

How exactly are you trying to install the ESP8266 board management files ?

It's possible, but I'm not aware that anyone has provided such a download. You can set up one yourself if you have another Internet connection that is able to do Boards Manager installations.
