Installing the Arduino IDE

While trying to extract the Arduino IDE program, there were 16 times it stopped and reported "Error Code 0x80010135: Path too long". I hit the skip button for all.

Second, when I tried to install using the Arduino application file, I got the following 7 times - "Destination Path Too Long"--"The file name(s) would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again or try a location that has a shorter path." I hit the skip button for all.

How can I get all this cleared up????? Thanks

Try extracting the IDE somewhere that has a shorter path (closer to the root of the drive).

I've got the exact same issue. Just use longpathtool utility to solve the problem.
