but I'll take a stab at it.
my guess is your trying to install drivers on a windows system.
you didn't mention what version of windows.
I use windows 7 and to get to device manager i click on:
control panel >> system >> device manager
this doesn't seem to have anything to do with programming though.

but yes, I am usung WD7.
I try to run trough the instalation of my first Uno.
1 get started
2 download WD7 software
3 connect the board
And at the 4e point in this proces they ask......for system > device manager.
What you explane in your answer, yes it would be ok, bit where did i find the
control panel> system> divice manager.
please tell me that so I can go further
