int var = 0, starts at 622

When I initialize a variable and set its value to 0 it always starts at 622. if i increment the variable it increments beginning at 622

int var = 0 int var++

results in

622 623 624 625 etc...

when i print the output to serial

I hope this makes sense, has anyone else run into this and do you know what the problem may be?

Show us your complete sketch..

int var = 0
int var++

Two different variables with the same name. That's pretty stupid, don't you think?

Is that zero or letter O?

Without the complete sketch how can we find the error?
