We are developing a product which we hope to introduce to the market soon. It has an Atmel microcontroller and some other circuitry. Recently we thought of directly using an Arduino BLE33 on the PCB without building the microcontroller on our PCB. This gives us the advantage of a easily swappable micro controller in case one fries. This costs a bit more. But other than that what will be the pros and cons of this approach.

I am sorry, but that makes no sense at all.
Are you going to add header pins to your board so you can mount and solder the BLE33 to your board and then begin to test the final sandwich board? Or are you going to test each BLE33 before attaching to your board? If you final product fails it's test, how will you know which board has the failure?
Does the BLE33 have components on both sides? Will the BLE33 cover components on your board?
How will the BLE33 be swappable if it is soldered to your board? Or are you going to use some type of socket on you board to accept the header pins from the BLE33. Another point for mechanical failure.
All in all, the assembly and testing expense seems to be getting pretty large.
