Intel Edison and Arduino UNO serial connection

Hello guys, i've been trying to use an Arduino UNO + TFT shield to display the Intel Edison serial terminal. Would you tell me any hints or how to do this?

This is what i have:

-Intel Edison + mini breakout board
-Arduino UNO + TFT shield (reads serial data at 115200 baudrate and display the characters, this is already tested with my laptop)
-I know about the level shifter stuff

If it's possible using Intel Edison GPIOs instead of USB ports.

I complain regularly that the Arduino folks rarely participate in this Forum. But I have NEVER seen any input from any of the INTEL folks even though they tried to build a better mousetrap.
