In this screenshot the g.e is where I am typing. Var g is a structure of global variables, one member of which is eventCount. When you look carefully prior to the ventCount text is an e that is highlighted with a dark-blue color.
While this all seems to work properly, and is quite useful, I find it hard to read due to the low contrast between the item highlighting and the inverted text highlighting. I have just a default light theme, and I haven't experimented yet with trying to switch any colors around (I knoweth naught if that is possible).
So what I want is this to be fixed so new users can marvel at this feature without distraction. In the meantime, if anyone knows how I can workaround this, I would be grateful if they passed it along.
Hi @weshowe. The decision was made by project management that the "Light (Theia)" theme you are using will be removed from the Arduino IDE:
Until that time, no further development resources will be allocated to fixing bugs with these themes. So the only way this would be fixed is via a 3rd party or custom theme.
The workaround is to use one of the supported themes ("Light (Arduino)" if you prefer a light theme). The contrast is pretty good in those themes. If you do spot any problems when using one of the supported themes please do let us know.
Oh, thank you. I kind of like the blue better than the green, but green is the "arduino" color, and green arduino is definitely easier to read than the light theia. I made the change now, so when the developers remove it I will be (hopefully) blissfully unaware anything happened.
