Hello everyone,
For some time I'm working on a lamp project that gives me a hard time. The basic idea is extremely simple and you can see it in action on my site: Chesnel.ca | Design multidisciplinaire | Technologie & Bois | Lampe Osci n°1
Currently I use the following sensors:PD5005
It's a tilt switch without mercury. My concern is that it is made with a TRIAC and this does not work very well with LED bulbs. (flickering)
Here are the sensors that I tested for the moment:
- PD5005 Tilt switch: does not work in europe and does not work with all LED bulbs
- Reed Switch with magnet: The passage of the high voltage weld the lamellae and destroys the sensor.
The next sensor that I want to test is this one:

My constraints are as follows:
- The sensors must be as small as possible
- Works on 120 or 220 Volt (for use in America and Europe)
I am really not an expert in electricity and I try at best to find the right solution. I hope I will be able to have some tips to help me move forward in my project
thank you!
