Interest in tutorials on how to build an automated / IOT aeroponic system

Hi everyone. I am wondering if the community is interested in me developing tutorials on how to build an aeroponic system that is mostly automated and IOT compatible.

To start with, I plan on automating:

  • LED panel light on/off
  • pump on/off
  • nutrient solution EC/TDS
  • PH

I may create two different systems (one high pressure / one low pressure)

IOT

  • Camera that can stream to internet
  • use Xbee to wireless send the following data to internet page
  • EC
  • PH

I plan on creating blog / video tutorials on every step of the process.

Let me know what your thoughts and suggestions are!

I for one would be right behind that idea.

One suggestion though - could you use an esp8266 instead of X-Bee

  • or one of the Nordic Semiconductor BTLE boards maybe?
