I recently took apart an Epson Stylus NX300 and it had this curious little 1.44 in LCD display, and I would love to get it running. I don't have much information about it, other than the company name, which I found this "datasheet."

Not much there, but theres a few other markings on the ribbon cable which might be useful. It's a 20 pin display, which also seems fairly uncommon. The board it was connected to has 3 IC's which, after googling, seem to be shift registers... (VHC 595 D112, VHC 164 A113, VHC 165 A112) It seems to be an SPI display, but I've not a clue about what the pinout may be.
Why, with so many pins, do you think that it is SPI ? The 'specs' did not even list a voltage.
Good Luck !
The board it was attached to will give you a clue about pinout.
A logic analyser and a sh*tload of time reverse-engineering might tell you what controller is in the display.
// Per.
Try the manufacturer or aliexpress.....they sell 1.44 spi devices. I have 3 on the way to me.....3 dollars apiece
