I am having trouble using any function in the Arduino platform. I cannot click on any of the options in the window. I can close and minimize the window after opening Arduino, however, I cannot click on file, edit, sketch, tools, help or even highlight any code. The keyboard will let me type but that is all I can do. I tried installing earlier versions of Arduino but the same problem still occurred. Please help.
I have no idea what the cause of your issue is but I think it's important for you to state which operating system you're using and what the latest version of the IDE is you've tried.
I am operating on Windows 8 and I tried versions 1.6.8 and 1.6.7. Both versions presented the same issue.
Reportedly 1.6.5 was the a goodie. Give it a try.
I use 1.6.7, but I am using Linux Mint 17.3
Yes builds since 1.6.5 have had various bugs and issues and aren't recommended for newbie's.. Try installing 1.6.5, use the windows installer..
No issue using 1.6.6 on Windows 8 64bit.
Else learn to use windows applications without using a mouse
