Greetings, I have solved my Due voltage shifting difficulties with two quad LM339 comparators with voltage ref (divider) and pullup resistors.
I plan to use the 74LVC245 octal transceiver (tri-state) for this purpose in the future; a very nice device that you can get from adafruit. See the datasheet to learn more.
