Perhaps a step too far - but I wish to collect some data using the a to d lines on the board and transmit this via a usb broadband dongle. To transmit I can send a http request with a cgi script running to collect the data (only a few samples per hour). I've no idea about security - I was thinking to buy a cheap netbook, but perhaps its possible without ?? Is there any possibility of doing this ? I don't know but perhaps you can help.
That sounds like a job for the Asynclabs WiShield. Don't have a huge experience with it, but i managed to send some data through my home WiFi net and read it out with a browser.

thanks for the pointer. I can see how to use the wishield with a WIFI network, but I want to use my device where there is no wifi - its out in the field, theres broadband connectivity. I want to keep cost down hence this solution ...
