Interfacing 3.3V I2C to UNO

I need to interface a 3.3V I2C device to my UNO. What is the best way to handle the 3.3V to 5V conversion issues?

Any enlightenment will be appreciated!

Pull up the I2C lines to 3.3V instead of 5V, using something like 2.2k-10k resistors (depends on how many I2C devices there are).

-- The Ruggeduino: compatible with Arduino UNO, 24V operation, all I/O's fused and protected

Another solution is to use zener diodes to clamp the voltages. Use 2.2k resistors unless you’re doing a very low power design.
