Is it possible to interface an old 56Kbps D-Link modem with Arduino Uno? I have not found any material on this. Has anybody tried this? Any information on this would be very helpful.

What you will need is a MAX232 to TTL adaptor like this though you would be better off with one that breaks out both RX/TX lines so you can maybe implement hardware flow control.
