Interfacing with an Eye-Fi Card?

Hello,

I just finished setting up an SD Card setup with my Arduino and the thought struck me, could this work with an Eye-Fi card? (http://www.eye.fi/products/) I don't have enough experience with the cards to tell from the marketing speak if it would work with data stored on the card. Has anyone looked into it?

I'm more interested in knowing whats under the hood, how everything is so small, the range, power consumption, and how they can be purchased at cost from the manufacturers in China.

They retail at 60 bucks, so the direct cost shouldn't be anymore than 20 bucks.. including the 2 gigs

Here's a couple photos and specs of a card that was dissected.

Much appreciated = )

It seems the purpose of this card is to share the built-in flash content to a server or web service like Flickr through a wi-fi connection.
It's not a Wi-fi adapter on SD.

The module pairs with proprietary software, on pc or mac. It's a clever design, quite a "big deal" for simply uploading a bunch of photos to an application.

I wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing digital cameras with web browsing capability. Better still, an iphone with an 8mp camera!
