interfacing with microsd and lcd?

Hi,

Where can I find information about using arduino to control flash memory to output images? In other words, if I had a microsd card or other kind of flash memory with images saved, some sort of breakout board from sparkfun, an lcd and an arduino, could I program the arduino to choose an image to be displayed?

this lcd will let you store images directly on a microsd card and uses serial commands to show them.

Unfortunately, I need to be able to take away the backlight and see through the lcd screen. OLED won't work for this.
