internal pull up resistor?

Thanks for reply..

being such a noob.. I guess I dont fully understand what your telling me to..

(I guess there isnt a good way to do this is code? Im more comfortable with code learning than I am with hardware :P)

put a 10k resistor and 0.1uf capacitor 'across' the input?

Here is a quick picture of the PCB I etched at home using some photopaper and my laser printer..

I just soldered the sensors to the board (closer to what the final application will be) and then soldered some solid core cat5 cable to then pad/traces..and use those 'ends' to stick into my Arduino for testing the response

so when you say put a 10k R and a 0.1uf C across the input..

do you mean the traces? for example the 'hit' (spring/nail) sensor.. just put those across/bridge both traces?

(then do this of course for the other sensors as well?)

Arrange your switch so that it connects the input to ground

sorry, for being 'thick' here.. can you expand? what switch?

thanks for the help..

Im trying to do this same exact 'thing' (detect X/Y acceleration/swing and a hit/jerk event) with an accelerometer as well. both are fun and hard learning projects for me.
