Internal pullup resistor with analogWrite function

Hello,

Does setting a PWM pin as an input (which is default; I usually do not include it in the code) and then running the analogWrite function mean that the internal pullup resistor is used? Or is the pin reset to output? Does using the pinMode as INPUT_PULLUP make a difference in this case?

Thank you.

From wiring_analog.c

void analogWrite(uint8_t pin, int val)
{
  ...
  ...
  pinMode(pin, OUTPUT);
