Interval-o-meter for my D60 camera

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have an arduino board that I recently purchased and on pin13 I have an IR transmitter diode on it. I am trying to get it to emit a signal but it doesnt seem to be powering up. I have tried replacing the IR transmitter but its still doesnt work.

Can anyone help me please?

A drawing of how you are wiring it up, part number of IR emitter and a listing of your code would be very helpful for helping you.

What isn't powering up?
The board or the IR LED?

(tip: Use a digital camera's viewfinder (not a DSLR (!), unless it has live view), video camera or phone camera to view IR LEDs - they're usually sensitive enough in this part of the near-IR spectrum to get some idea of whether the LED is emitting or not)

Thanks all I figured it out last night. My camera needed to be set to listen to the remote.....DUH. So its all good now. Thanks guys.
