Intro

Good day, folks! I'm posting HERE as an introduction, because I'm not allowed to post THERE (points at the interface forum) until I post a normal non-spam appearing post.

I have some light experience on a PIC microcontroller, and have spent the year getting up to speed on thru-hole and surfacemount hobby type kits with a Sparkfun O-scope, signal generator and a nearly finished Solid State Tesla Coil under my belt.

Now, off to the interfaces!

We can help you get over it.
Welcome.

Well, everybody's gotta start somewhere. I've been looking for my next project for after the Tesla Coil and a home water usage meter that doesn't require hacking into plumbing sounds like a good challenge.

ETA: and now that I think about it, it was a BASIC Stamp, not a PIC.

Why not add yourself to the map while you're in the mood...

Wow...I'm lonely!

Which is wierd, cuz I'm about an hour's drive away from sparkfun.com

There are no doubt a load of people who are not on this map yet but it is a good start.

You might want to think about keeping it somewhere a little safer, maybe?

It's a relatively short path to ground the avoids the cardiac muscle.

I think it's other muscles I'd be worried about. ;D

Welcome.

Naw, man, I've procreated.
