Invalid IMEI Number. Validation Error: Device/SIM not found in Verizon DMD

Hello,

I am trying to activate my MKR NB 1500 on Verizon's IoT website called ThingSpace.com using a Verizon SIM. When I input the IMEI number of the modem on my MKR NB 1500, I get the error "Invalid IMEI Number. Validation Error: Device/SIM not found in DMD." After contacting Verizon support they told me to reach out to the device manufacturer and ask them to load the device into Verizon's DMD. Can anyone advise me who I speak to in order to have my device IMEI loaded into Verizon's DMD? Is it someone at Arduino? Someone at u-blox?

Any update to this? I have the same issue.

This is a discussion on Verizon certification:

Verizon doesn't play nice with the maker community, including their Thingspace website. They will gladly sell you the SIM card but then tell you to get lost once you try to register on their platform.

Any updates on this, or another company besides Verizon where i can get unlimited sms and data for $10 a month? I've been trying to decide whether or not to go with arduino or raspberry pie for my next project which is a gps tracker... getting a sim card and plan are pivotal on which way i go for this.

I would suggest an AT&T plan like this ($30/year):

https://marketplace.att.com/products/att-lte-m-one-rate-plan

It wont give you SMS, but personally I would move towards using an API like clickatell to send SMS.

Hologram might also be an option. However, you will not be able to use Verizon towers with Hologram.

Update to the latest u-blox firmware for the modem, they added Verizon stuff.
