Invalid signature during burning bootloader ATmega1284P

Hello,

After I bricked my 3d printer trying to install marlin software, I need to burn a bootloader into it.
So, i'm using and arduino board (uno and mega) as isp for that purpose.

I have all the wires attatched (checked about 20 times) and still have invalid signature error when burn.

Here is the completed error:

avrdude: Yikes!  Invalid device signature.
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
         this check.

avrdude done.  Thank you.

Not always it gives 0x000000, sometimes it's 0xFF0000 with the FF in other places and it gives me this error:

avrdude: Expected signature for ATmega1284P is 1E 97 05

I've checked all and don't know what to do.

I Hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance

You have no connection to ATmega if all zero response.
Which board or how you have connected 1284P?

Sorry for not answering, I was trying things, the problem its solved.

For any one with same problem:

First of all check your connections, most of times the problem is there.

Then check the isp you loaded on arduino, in my case I had to define use_old_connections or something like that for programming via normal arduino pins, if you dont that you'll have to change it to icsp pins in your board. Hope I can help anyone
