Yeah, that would make things so much more easy. It's not like it's super secret intellectual property anyway. As you now realize quite well I think, it really helps to have that kind of information when deciding what you need and how to implement it!
PS: now you probably also realize why we keep asking for schematics on this forum, no matter how simple they may be - there are often these little details that seem insignificant that turn out to be quite essential
