Iphone mobile app?

Hello, Sorry I hope this is in the right place. Is there an app that just displays the serial monitor? I don't need controls or anything. I'm also willing to pay for an app if someone can make one please?

Joseph

What type of connection do you envisage between the iPhone and the Arduino ?

Wired or wireless such a Bluetooth ?

hey Bob, Sorry I forgot to put that part. Bluetooth is the connection from the arduino to the app. I just want to able to see serial monitor that's all.

I assume that you already have the Bluetooth connection established. If so then I imagine that there are many iPhone apps available in the App Store that will do the job. There certainly are for Android

What you need is a Serial terminal of some kind. I am not an iPhone user so cannot give you an actual recommendation

Everyone i found so far are for controlling things or seeing sensors. Still looking. What is one of them for android?

I use one named "Serial USB Terminal" by Kai Morich

still might one time need to make my own one day. I hope!

Hey Bob, I finally got my bluetooth modules. I'm able to see the bluetooth module on my phone but if I go to connect to it I get "Pairing Unseccessful" HC-06 is not supported.

I have looked online I have everything wired up correctly. I just don't know why It is giving me problem. All the hc-06 modules have a fast rapid led blinking. Mine doesn't. Just looks like it's blinking once per second.

HC05 HC06 are "classic" Bluetooth devices and thus not compatible with IOS. You need a BLE device on Arduino.
Any Bluetooth terminal available for iPhone should work once you have the correct module. I imagine the HM-10 is all you need, but it is not just a simple HC 0x replacement and you will need some programming adjustment in Arduino.

I don't have any HM-10 bluetooth module. Will a RYB070I or RYB080I work? I have saw the RYB090I someone working with arduino on it. But nothing on the RYB070I for arduino.

I'm afraid I have never heard of RYB0x01 and, other than that they appear to be BLE devices, I can't comment. They certainly aren't common around here, but that may be simply down to price or availability.

Hey Nick. I have a hm-10 suppose to come today but got delay. it be here tomorrow. the other RyBOIO is not really a good one to use with arduino. The hm-10 you are correct is the best one to use.

See post#10 and note that HM-10 is not a simple drop-in substitute for HC-0x, but there is plenty of support and examples for using it around here.

That is okay. I'm learning all about it. I did find a mobile app on iphone that has a lopt of controlling stuff but it also has a terminal serial monitor I can see as well. That is what I'm trying soon. Thank you
