i have an old cassiopeia e-105 it has ir on it and was wondering if anyone might think its possible for an arduino with ir to talk to this palm
The "normal" mode for the Cassiopeia will be IrDA. There might be some "consumer IR" applications for it (I know there were for the Palms), or you may be able to find an old serial-to-IrDA adapter on ebay or at an electronics surplus dealer.
Be warned that there were lots of complaints back when that generation of PDAs was current that many of them had extremely poor range (i.e., single digit inches).
