Is there anyone who trying to make a Rain Sensor using IR photodiod.

Nice idea..
WhatIf you used a funnel so even a few drops would fall past the sensor. Then it could also be a simple "wide space optointerrupter" module; easy to interface to Arduino.
I may try it..
Actually im using the basic ir transmitter & receiver for my project. In my case im using the principle of total internal reflection of IR rays. If you can please help me to make this sensor.
Sounds much more complicated than relying on the break-beam effect of water drops.
