a more powerfull arduino is fine
but i guess even with a more powerfull arduino fastled will still takeover serial ...right ?
so i couldnt use 2 arduinos talking in serial
and i couldnt use on same arduino also...right?
from what i understood you use
aTiny ti get the IR codes
and transmit it to the Arduino Nano (lets say nano)
that runs fastled.
through a protocol you write ?
if that is so then what is diferenxe if i just use aTiny and arduino ? or 2 arduinos ?

what other protocol do u use to pass the data between the board ?
