IR receiver is repeating values, cant understand why?

Hey buds,

I wanna ask you why I am receiving 3 same value each time when I press any button on Sony remote only once. I have two IR remote one is normal mp3 one and other one is Sony. Mp3 remote is prefectly fine and only shows one value when I press any button only once. However, in case of Sony remote, I receive three similar value or sometime four similar whereas I have pressed button only once. Any idea why this is happening?

That page tells that sony repeats its code 3 times.
