Hello everyone. I am attempting to make a quadcopter that should be controlled with a pair of flexiforce sensor enhanced gloves. As a part of the project I need the robot to measure the distance from the controller. Making the robot turn to the right direction should be possible with a ring of ir receivers but I'm having trouble calculating the distance of the controller from the robot. I was wondering if there is any way I can make a sensor which would act as an ir receiver( low or high if a signal of certain frequency is detected) that would also measure signal strength or if there is any other way to measure the distance from a certain frequency light source.
