IR reflective sensor - how to increase work distance to obstacles ?

I get the IR sensor with robot set included.

And they has not datasheet (as all others elements).

But i find docs, that similar sensors can latch on 50cm-200cm, depends on pot resistance.

I can force it to latch at 150 mm before obstacle only, not more!

They included 3pc, and all are same short latch.

If somebody has the same, can you explain, are they really so short latch distance, or can it be increased by some simple way, or tuned up?

If somebody knows the link about it , please point me.

My purpose is get their latching distance about 200mm or 300mm or more.

Have you tried different colored surfaces?

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, the sensors you're using are line following sensors. They're intended to be used to identify if a surface is light or dark. As you are finding, they make poor distance sensors.

I just need to know, how to increase The sensor range as they write : from 0 to 2000mm.
If somebody know, post it , please.
