Hi I just want to ask if its possible to differentiate plastic bottle and paper using IR Transmitter/Receiver because I tried to research it and can't find enough answers to help me in doing this kind of project. Thanks in advance. 
An IR spectrophotometer will distinguish between paper and plastic, but is expensive and unsuitable for mixed waste processing where the plastic is contaminated by adhesive paper labels.
