IR xyz field help

I'm looking for a way (if it's not done already) to create a (bear with me as my imagination and way of describing things is wacky) ...create a 3d xyz IR hand/tracking area space that is basically moving a mouse cursor.

I basically wanna do :arrow_up: that and use it to control a a cursor that controls my audio device media selection

A popular approach is to use 2 or 3 video cameras to track one or more IR LEDs to give 3D coordinates.

A PC is usually required to do the image processing, but the inexpensive, Arduino-compatible PIXY camera can be modified to track IR sources (in 2D).
