I have several of these ICs ordered from AliExpress and I was certain that I understood the datasheet. That's why I ordered a bunch. Now before building an entire circuit that is very complicated and has many more parts to it, I wanted to do some proto circuit to observe its functionality.
The /SD pin is a shut down pin. The bar or '/' indicates it is inverted, that is it is to be understood as NOT shutdown. A logic level LOW shuts it down and a logic level HIGH enables the chip. The logic voltage can be 3.3v or 5v.
