Is anyone else getting constant cookie acceptance popups?

Edit: Try this.

So this might be an effective workaround for those experiencing the problem:

  1. Open this page in your browser:
    https://arduino.cc/
  2. Click the "SIGN IN" button at the top right of the page.
  3. Sign in to your account.

Is anyone else getting a cookie acceptance request on every page they visit on Arduino sites?

Be sure that you don't have something like "Do not save a cookies" or "Delete cookies on disconnect" options in your browser

I do not. I've had the web page open all day. Maybe I have one or more that are expired or something and aren't being cleared out???

I don't think so try clearing all the cookies of the main landing page of website and then allow all cookies .
To solve the problem

There is a previous similar report here:

I haven't personally experienced the problem.

I don't experience that problem here. Firefox fyi.

I have been experiencing it as well at occasion; definitely more frequent than in the past. Mostly happens when I visit the site for the first time in the day but I seem to remember that it happened once when I went from a topic to a category

Until 8 / 10 days ago, no, but now every single day it ask me to save my choices again and again and again (and also, now it ask me to login every single time, while this was not happening before) ... playing with forum scripts is undoubtly funny, but, maybe, trying to not introduce new bugs will be a better choice, sometimes

I'm using Firefox, updated.

This morning, it gave me a different popup window (smaller, with different messages, still about cookies), and now it NOT repeated it (nor the previous one), so probably someone is still modifying the script, i suppose.

Yep same here.
Get the same on the main page (Arduino home page) and then again when I come in the forum so TWICE !
That despite clicking "only those required"

Latest Chrome here win 10 or 11 same thing.

Same again this morning.

Something is clearly BROKEN.

@pert @moderators Maybe move it up to SLACK ?

I've lost count of how many times i've clicked ACCEPT ALL on my Win10 / Chrome PC today, yesterday and the day before.

It seems to have gone away here.

May be worth a cache clean up and check you are on the latest chrome JIC that has anything to do with it.

Before:

That's 10MB per cookie!

Quick cleanup and log back in and it's:

I'll see how it goes.

I use the FREE CCLEANER at least once a week.
followed by the WISE Registry cleaner.

Then a restart.
Has worked for me for a good few years and has also fixed a good few random issues overall.

EDIT
Another good tool to have in your box is REVO.
Use the paid version here and I always use the advanced mode.
Again it has never failed me once !

Thanks for the post.
I use the free CCLEANER each Sunday evening before backing up my laptop. I have not cleaned the registry for several years, but decided to try the WISE cleaner. Found lots of errors, so I will include that in my weekly backup process.
Thanks!
I only see the cookie messages after the weekly backup because I clear out all the cookies before backup. But just the one time per week.

Ok its back and it seems its back with a vengeance !
Now it can appear up to twice (larger version) on the same page.

@dax1 @pert are we any further along with this problem ?

It never really went away for me.

Interesting that in the 3 days since my previous post (post #16) when I deleted all cookies for arduino.cc, the cookie storage taken up by arduino.cc has gone from 691KB for 18 cookies to 8.3MB for 18 cookies.

Further inspection shows that forum.arduino.cc has 2 cookies which account for 99% of the cookie storage.
