Hi,
Hello and welcome to the forum (that sounded a bit automated didn't it) ![]()
I make a product which uses Zigbee and an ARM processor, to essentially parse wireless sensor information and send it along a CAN bus into a much bigger vehicle system.
Ok, sounds interesting
The ARM I use is quite power hungry for this task, not to mention, combining it with the rest of the system makes for a large box.
Yes, I would have thought so...
What I looking to do, it combine an XBee Pro card with an Arduino, and then send the information to both an LCD readout and also along the CAN bus.
LCDs are pretty simple with arduino due to the quantity of libraries out there and massive forum!
The LCD readout would need to scroll between the readings from multiple sensors in the network.
Yep, could be done on a delay to scroll through the sensor inputs.
My knowledge is mainly in XBee, so I was wondering if somebody would be able to advise me on the practicalities of this using an Arduino.
Should be fine, you got any further info? What kind of sensors are you interfacing?
Most of the info you will need will already be on the forum waiting for you. Do a google search of the site (on site search is crap) and you will find loads of stuff.
