I have noticed the last few days that the forum feels a bit slow and clunky when connected from both work and home and was wondering if there is a reason for this.
Sometimes pages are very slow to load or don't load at all.
Sometimes I have difficulty logging in.
Today I have noticed several posts with user details missing.
Have others experienced this same problems in the last week?

The Arduino authentication system, which is a core component of all Arduino services (including, of course, this Forum), has been and still is target for a massive distributed attack. In random periods, that server receives whole bursts of connections which slow down the server itself and, as a conseguence, processing of internal requests (mostly about sessions validation).
In last two days some measure has been adopted, more or less effective in isolating the issue. The conditions are still not optimal, neither the problem solved, but some progress has been achieved.
As now, most of the issue should be limited to the log-in and no longer should involve other services.
I have the same problem. Last night, I notice many spam posts, so I believe that it have something to do with that. In that period it was almost impossible do refresh to the page.

The forum seems ok, but the auth server and the playground are almost unusable.
Yes, this is a busy day...
Progressive improvements in performances are voided by increasing traffic, often of malicious nature.
I'm tuning right now some option to free more workload from authentication servers.
