Is Arduino MKR GSM 1400 very sensitive to EMI?

I can run a simple program on the board even when having e.g., cables present and near. So that makes me think it might be some issue with the cable. What do you think about that?

I plugged in my Arduino MKR GSM 1400 to my computer with a micro usb cable and windows gave me this error:

"USB Device not recognized: One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it."

At one point the board was shown in my Arduino IDE and I was able to upload a sketch. Later it got the same error, so it had "unplugged" again. So I tried around a bit and thought that maybe the breadboard I had put it in was very dusty and thus having static electricity making the board to malfunction, but then it kept happening even with a "good" breadboard. Then I realised that if the board was close to any kind of electricity, e.g., cable, computer, my hand etc. it would malfuction (as in Windows not recognizing the usb port).

When I have the board plugged in and I hold the cable (which is connected to the board) and thus not having my hand very near the board, and I hold the board away from any kind of electricity, Windows recognizes the board and I can e.g., upload a sketch.

So my question is, is it supposed to be so sensitive? If so what can I do to prevent it to "malfunction" and if not have I destroyed the board in anyway and is it possible to fix?

Have you tried a diferent cable?

I'm working on an Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 and I have almost the same thing

Can you try to hold the conector of the cable in the Arduino board, you sort of "force" it by its side or the top (or the bottom)
You may need to disconnect the board, apply the necessary on the connector and replug the board to the computer

My connector have some problems, I assume yours too

Not really sure how you meant but I tried now to apply some pressure and it didn't help :confused:

Yes that's it, some pressure on the connector to avoid the bad contacts

Maybe it is the cable then? Hope so!
